I’ve just returned from a very wet weekend in Utrecht, a town not far from Amsterdam. We tried a number of times to get out with the camera but most of the time it was just too wet. I don’t have a rain proof cover for my camera, so just had to wait for a break in the rain to shoot off a few brackets. I liked this one because the different brackets seemed to catch the different coloured lights from the street lamps.
Utrecht is a very pretty town where small brick lined canals thread their way around the town. The streets are at a higher level and so goods used to be loaded and unloaded directly into the cellars of the local businesses. Now, many of these have been converted into restaurants and bars with beautiful vaulted brick ceilings.
wow Kiff that is a wonderful shot! love it!
Hi Jim
Thanks for stopping by and your kind comments.
It was a very wet night and I had to keep jumping in and out of shelter (the camera was starting to get a bit wet!) – I would like to have taken more frames, maybe 7 at 0.7ev but it I think it just about came out OK.
