Cassis Harbour

Cassis Harbour

A photo of the harbour at Cassis, a small sea-side town near Marseille.  Cassis is well known as it is the gateway to the Calanques, a strip of rugged limestone coast with long narrow inlets almost like small fjords carved out of the rock.  The sea in this area is an idyllic clear turquoise!  We spent a very relaxing few days seeing the sites and basking on the rocks by the sea.
